Plastic Wiring Supports under slides 2006 3400RL
I just had the plastic flex wiring support under the desk/TV/fireplace slide break. I remember seeing someone else on the forum having the same problem. Does anyone recall how they repaired it. I am on the road now and will use duct tape as an emergengy fix for now. I will check with my dealer when i get close to him and order a new part. I looked at the other one and it is starting to crack too.

Stainless door hinges on my 2007 3400. Poor design for a couple years. Might have fixed this by now.

I think they fixed it, the 09 right next to us has the springs again. Pasha get a 4 inch stainless door hinge and us that on the break, that seems to be the standard repair... Dave

Had the same thing happen last year and used the hinges as others have suggested. Works great!

Bill, we still have one with duck tape. Two of ours have broken. The first time was before anyone had posted several years ago. Ed screw it back on by creating new holes in the end. Then it broke again and he put the hinge on but that broke also and we were pulling out to go someplace and he used duck tape. Hinge is on the LR slide and seems to do fine. Duck tape gets replaced every 6 months or so and works fine.
Happy trails....................

Before I saw the hinge fix I used rubber tile molding pop riveted to the plastic. That has worked fine, but I will use the hinges on the new Big Sky if they break.

Heavy duty wire ties work great. Drill a few holes in both of the broken pieces and put 3 or 4 heavy duty wire ties through them. Leave them loose and they make a hinge that will bend and not break again.

Our dealer repaired 3 of ours using a rectangular section of rubber like belting about 3/8" - 1/2" thich and bolted one end to the plastic carrier and the other end where the plastic carrier had been boltsd to the slide frame. All of ours broke at where the plastic carrier bolts to the slide frame.

Hey folks, thanks for the good idea. Now I'll have to go and check ours. At least I travel with the heavy ties and always have plenty of duct tape on hand.
