Sweet spot for remote
We have a 2012 3400. The remote sometimes only works intermittently or not at all when I walk around the rv. Where is the sweet spot for its use?
Does it help to replace the batteries in the remote? I haven't opened it up to see what kind it takes.
Thanks for any assistance.

We replace our remote batteries every Spring and they will last the year, but our season is only about seven months long. We do have trouble at times when I walk back to the rear stabilizers and use the remote, but with new batteries have not noticed any major problems. When you replace the battery, to take the remote apart (if it is like ours) there is a hidden screw beneath the direction sticker on the back of the remote in the center of the remote. Can't remember the battery type, they are short and wide but are available at large stores.

The newest remotes have significant range to them and don't eat batteries as the earlier models did. I suggest you have the dealer check it out. I bet you have a control board problem.

If your slides are intermittent , some of us have doubled the circuit breaker. Look in batt. comp. on back wall just left of center. Buy another like cb and run it Paralell , should stop intermittance. Larry

Here is what I did on the first time I replaced the remote battery. There is an additional screw right in the middle of the instruction decal. After peeling it back, it won't stick very well when you want it to fold back down. So, with my digital camera, I took a close up photo, then downloaded it to the computer, saved it, and then made a large 8x10 copy of the instructions. Now, when the decal finally will no longer stick, I'll at least have the instructions on file.

I was able to feel and locate the screw, and take a razor blade knife (exacto type) and open up a small hole that only eliminated a couple of letters on the instruction sticker. You should not have to peel it off but rather open up a small hole to remove the hidden screw.

It was the battery. I replaced it and it worked fine. It had done that since we got it 10 months ago so I thought I was just.not close enough to the control board. KISS. Thanks for the help.
