Firestone Air Bags
Looking for a little advice when pulling my new 3465SA 10th. Just purchased and installed a set of Firestone air bags on my 06 2500 HD Duramax. I also installed the HD in cab compressor kit. Can anyone offer advice on psi in the air bags when pulling ?

I inflate the bags to about 20# before dropping the Montana on the hitch. When the Montana sits fully on the TV hitch it will compress what is in the bags. I usually see somewhere around 40# in the bags when hitched up. Some adjusting will be required to find what your comfort zone will be.

I run mine at about 40 to 45 psi. Each TV is different.

I measured "deflated" (5-10#) rear bumper height w/o rig hitched. Hitched up and added air to bring her back up to the same height/level. That ends up being about 55# loaded or 35# unloaded. Rides level and handles well for me.

I have the 2500HD and I run 30# when hooked up. I am level with that PSI any more and the ride starts getting a little harder. You just have to play with it till you get your comfort zone.

I did the same as Capn Chris. That's a good starting point. Then I'd adjust when on the road if we got on a road that was unusually rough or had those concrete lap strips that cause so much herky jerky motion. I couldn't totally eliminate the movement but it sure did help.
