With the expense of pulling it out and reinstalling, you may want to weigh the cost of a new replacement if yours is 8 years old and the original.

Latest update: I recently attached the black tank flushing water hose onto camper as a perm fixture so I could flush out tank with ease without always connecting hose each time. Mom said she saw water leaking from it yesterday so she disconnected it and no water on floor today. Now, the question is - did the WH leak out the remaining water in it and now it's bone dry or did that hose cause the problem? The last test will be to fill up WH tank tomorrow when I get there and see if I get anymore water on floor.. Crossing my fingers it was the hose!!!!

Hope you remembered to turn water heat off before draining. Takes seconds to burn the element out. We have our black tank flush connected to the outside shower connection in the convenience center with the blue spiral hose. It stays connected unless I need to use the shower, I can actually flush the black tank with hot water this way if needed. While some disagree with connecting it this way, it works well for us.

Don't know where the vacumn breaker for the black tank rinse is on your trailer, but they do go bad and could leak water into the unit. John

X2 on the vacuum breaker. Had one go bad on previous rv. When leak is noticed had you just flushed black tank?

Can't remember if I flushed it right before.. Will that cause a slow leak? I'm still leaning towards WH though cause when the floor was dry, I turned on the main water when the WH was filled and the water started again..
