Vegas dust

Several years back we won a new Samsung blue ray player at the Goshen rally. This week it died from Vegas dust ingestion. The Dust here is VERY fine and insidious. It gets into everything. If you open a new box of zip lock bags you will see a coating of the dust on bags inside the unopened box. The dust down In Quartzsite and Arizona in general is harsh also but the dust up is much finer. I have been using canned air and a DVD lens cleaning disk almost weekly while out here but eventually the Blue Ray stopped playing at all and left dust streaks on the DVD and Blue Ray disks. I am going to start trying to design and built a dust filter system for the entertainment cabinet. We have ordered a new Blue Ray and it should be here the end of the week. So Just a heads up to all of you that have delicate electronics be aware of the fact that this stuff is nasty and can damage your electronic toys...

Not sure how it is in Vegas, but down here the occasional 30-40mph wind gusts, this time of year, help insert the dust into everything.
