Tampa Area

I'm looking for recommendations for campgrounds around the Tampa area with full hookups around Thanksgiving. Thanks.

If you have pets they put you in the pet section..... lots of low limbs going back to the sites..Someone posted on the forum last year that he had to get a new roof after going that way...If I remember right it was to the left side of the campground as you are going in...Been a few years since we have been there..

The poster that had to get a new roof due to the pet area trees was me. Since then, many reductions in county maintenance personnel would make me want to survey the roads and sites before staying there again. I bet my favorite leaning tree is still there.

No sewers at Ft DeSoto. It is my favorite campground and is only 30 minutes from our house. We will be staying there the week of Sept 17th. We stay in the pet area. It is not really all that bad to navigate. good luck!!

There are numerous places over on Route 19 in the Clearwater/Port Richie area as you don't say how close to Tampa you wish to be.
