Where are you staying there? We will be heading for New York in June after the Northeast Rally. It sounds nice. Claudia

There are several nice State Parks there, but limited sites that can handle a Monty. Last time we were in the area we still had our 24' TT but that was a few years ago.

Sampson State park has lots of sites that will accommodate our rigs. No full hookup just electricity.

We live about 20 miles north of Ithaca but are heading north to the St Lawrence River for the weekend. Enjoy RT Park!

We've visited the Lucas Winery near Ithaca at Interlaken. It's ironic buy my Dad who is 92 went to Navy boot camp at Sampson NY (1941) on the Lake there which I believe is now Sampson State Park or am I mistaken? We want to travel back to that area.

Sampson State Park is the old Navy boot camp. There is a small museum there. Nice State Park - great for hiking or biking on the old roadways and seeing wildlife.

Were you able to hike up the gorge to the falls? It is well worth the jaunt. There are other such gorges and waterfalls in our area.

And yes, we feel blessed with the area we live.

We been coming up here for 25 years always staying at RT park.We love it here, The farmers market, the commons, Ithaca falls, Buttermilk, all of them are just wonderful. We love going to Wegmans and of course our favorite is PURITYS ICE CREAM. Our daughter went to Ithaca school of massage, And we eat at the State dinner in town. We camp there usually twice a year. May and October. We would move there in a second and may very well do that in a few years. We just love the finger lakes region.

We live in East Syracuse and we go to Sampson, Cayuga State Park and Robert Treeman State Park at least 3 or 4 times a year each. We LOVE that area, espescially Robert Treeman because we love walking the trails and looking at the falls, etc.
