Where to stay in Vegas. On or near the strip
Want to be close to the action, but would like some security. Asphalt OK, I know the spaces won't be like the Oasis, where we stopped last time. I plan on a Segway Tour for Sue and I while there.
The last time we visited, we met up with Rich and Helen, I had a few drinks and woke up on the sidewalk with my shirt on back-wards, don't know what happened... I snapped a photo as I was struggling to get up:

Jim and Sue,
If you have never stopped at Mesquite, NV you should. It is a pretty little town and you can park at some of the casinos for free or at least greatly reduced prices. The scenery around the area is very nice. Good luck. Dennis

Jim,
There is a KOA at Circus Circus, all asphalt but that'll get you on the strip. Rich isn't there so you should be safe.

We will stop at Mesquite, thanks for the tip!
We will weigh the KOA and the L.V. RV Resort, thanks for the help men.
The last time I was there, I almost got run in by security, got off with just a warning... (Sue's fault...)

The Oasis in LV is great, and so is the one in Mesquite, which is far less money than the Oasis in LV,
KOA is a piece of junk yard crap, the water lines are to close to the ashfalt, and you have is hot water insted of cold. for 50 bucks a night, no cable, and a 30 amp plug. I want better than that.

Ozz,
We stay near Samstown on Bolder Hwy. It is Thousand Trails, but we looked at Samstown and it was nice and $25/ night $33 for 70 ft site with 50 amp. They have asphalt and grass on the site.

Sam's Town and the Las Vegas RV Resort are quite a ways from the strip. Break down and stay at the Oasis again. You won't find better in L.V. The Las Vegas Resort is not great in my opinion. It's a trailer park. I 2nd the opinion of the K.O.A. Sam's Town (the one right at the Casino)is OK and they have a shuttle to and from the strip.

We've stayed at Sam's Town 6-7 times and like it. They have a free shuttle to the strip and downtown.

We just stayed at Sams Town for 4 days, nice park but not real close to the strip as far as walking distance, but driving to the strip from there maybe 15 min. Also a shuttle from Sames to the Strip at no charge. The Park is laid back when you want to wind down after winning all that cash. Be careful you two, I have heard rumors that Vegas will take you for a ride and as they say, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. They proved that to me once again!!! LOL Have fun both of you we did!!!!

We stayed at the Las Vegas RV Resort in July and really liked it. Got reservations online and only paid $29.00. It is away from the strip but not a bad drive. A lot of free garage parking if your pickup isn't to tall, behind the strip hotels.

Thanks for the info on the 30a breaker fuse for my landing gears. Seems to be working fine now. Gene
