Installing an air bag suspension

I have a Firestone air bag system to install in my truck. Where is the best place to install the compressor on an 05 Duramax? Instructions say it should be someplace relatively clean, dry and near the battery. Sounds like the engine compartment would be best but it's already pretty crowded in there. Where is yours mounted?

Steve, I mounted my compressor on my skid plate under the truck. In 25,000 miles or so, it has not had problems.
My compressor is for on board air and the air horns, but it would be fine for my Firestone air bags as well.
You might get under there and see if you can find a convenient location, on those trucks there is tons of room for it.
Here are some pictures:

Steve, I mounted my compressor under the hood right on top of the passenger side wheel well. Plenty of room there plus easy access to battery. I mounted the controller right next to my brake controller in the cab. Here are a couple of pics:

Thanks for the ideas. My engine compartment is stuffed! The passenger side wheel well is covered with the air cleaner compartment, coolant overflow reservoir, and second battery. The drivers side wheel well is covered with the primary battery and fuse box. I don't see anywhere in the engine compartment where there is enough room to mount the compressor. I think I'm stuck with either somewhere underneath on the frame or in the cab (maybe under the seat?). Am I correct in assuming these things need to be mounted right side up? The instructions don't say anything about mounting position but I would assume there is a small amount of oil sealed ing the crankcase portion under the cylinder for lubrication?
