Lost appliances

We are in Pismo Beach this week and I'm not sure why but we are getting a lot of power outages because or Progressive keeps kicking due to high voltage. At first I thought we had a bad unit or one that was to sensitive. Well probably not.
A trailer about 100' from ours lost thier TV, Microwave and fireplace at about the same time as our Progressive was cutting out.
It appeared that nobody else in the park had the problem.
I have a muilt meter with me but it is not very accurate. I'm going to start bring my good one with me so I can verify what the voltages are more accurately.

Question?? anybdy else have thier unit cut out when nobody else is having problems??

Mark: Greg Neis had that same problem two weeks ago at a campground. They were supplying too much voltage for the few residents. It was fine on the weekend when the crowds were there and using lots of power, but come mid-week, it was too high. The campground was able to drop the voltage and the problem stopped. the progressive 50C is very sensitive and will drop your power and the slightest power problem. Others were no doubt having issues but did not know it.

Yes, I lost one leg of the 240 at a Casino RV Park. Because I didn't want to wait the four hours they told me it would take to get their electrician, I pulled to pedestal apart and while it was still one leg short, all the wiring was fine. Turned out to be a problem in the main panel (which was locked, so I still had to wait for the electrician). So yes, individual site problems do happen. In fact I would bet they are as frequent as whole park issues.

There is a park we go to in Indiana once a year just before or after the rally. One of their most popular sites has an open ground and has had for each of the last three years. Apparently they don't care.

Our progressive has saved us several critical times, kicking off and back on as grid issues occur. We have also on occasion experienced the progressive identifying problems with the electrical pedestal at initial hookup, usually a bad ground.

I wouldn't ever connect to an electrical source without our Progressive. It has saved us numerous times for low voltage and a couple of times for an open ground. Even once for the electricity out of frequency. Many parks are older and they never upgrade their utilities that were design for the power usage for rigs 30 years ago.
