Meteorite hunting

Sue and I have been scouring the countryside for Meteorites.
We watched the show 'The Meteorite Men' on TV, when they were showing where they were, Sue and I looked at each other with surprise, whe had been to that very place that day!
We had better weather than the boys did, it was beautiful. We were out again yesterday, got sunburned and wind-burned, but had a ball, didn't get stuck and found some Meteorites as well.
I have taken the truck places I never thought I would go, up steep rocky hills I would have never tried before, getting braver, or stupider as I age...
We were in the famous Franconia Strewn Field. It is a location where several Meteorite showers overlap.

Just got to love Arizona!

Ozz,
You're living my dream. I love to watch that show. Those guys have visited some interesting places. But you're right where they have hunted so we know you don't have to leave the country to find meteorites. Glad you found some already. Now the next thing is to find some gold! Good hunting. Dennis

Thanks Buddy, I appreciate to good vibes. Gold hunting is tons of work! We panned 15 gallons of sifted gravel, nada...

I would find it hard to drive a Ford on the road more/less off road. Fords are like mopeds & fat ladies. They are all fine until someone sees you with one....Seriously, looks great. The pictures are wonderful. Someday we will be out there. Until then we are 26 days from leaving for Texas. Enjoy!

It's not polite to bash another's vehicle, where are your manners?
That 26 day deadline will fly by, the last day you will wonder why you are so rushed to get ready, so many things to remember to do, have a safe trip.

You are right Jim, I apologize. It's nice to see someone "use" his vehicle. I have a friend that had a suburban and a 24' trailer that would only put 1/2 a tank of gas in it when he pulled to help keep the weight down. If the weather here keeps up I might not have to travel. They predict close to 50 by Saturday.

Ha! The weather there is enticing you to stay.
Nothing more exciting than planning a trip, well, taking the trip is good too!
Have a safe trip.
