A poem by my niece to her father.........

The following is a poem that my niece wrote to her dieing father....

In The Morning

In the late of the night
I look into your eyes.
Will you open your eyes in the morning?

What will happen tonight?
Tell me, how will it go?
How will you be in the morning?

A new day will dawn,
and I will be here.
Will you be here in the morning?

Deep in my heart
I know this is more than goodnight.
You won’t see me in the morning.

What do I say?
I can’t Say goodbye.
I have to have hope for the morning.

Than God speaks to my heart,
And he tells me the truth.
“You will see him in the morning.”

I do understand.
Not the morning on Earth.
Not the sunrise from the east.
Not the morn that brings new woes.

A different morning.
A new dawn.

The SON will rise again.
The Son will shine.
And it will be a new day.

I look into your eyes,
Deep into your heart,
And I know you understand.

“Daddy, I will see you in the morning.”
