The only reason I was asking was because I have on the screen door is the push bar and the screen door grill which is on the inside of the door.I can probably remove the screen door grill-put on the plexiglas and reinstall the grill.I might have to go this route with the clips.

I use 16 to to attach two (upper and lower)large panels and one for a small panel beside the sliding handle access door. You might want to get 20 so that you have some spares. You could probably get away with fewer most of the time, but then there are those windy days when you really need more.

That is what we did. We had a grill on the bottom half of the door.
That also helps to hold the plexiglas on too.

What did you cut the plexiglass with? We had the store cut the bottom piece and we still have to do the other 2 sections.

Al used a dremel tool with a small cut off wheel. He bought the wheels in a group for one price, used a number of them.
Have to say, not our favorite project to DO, but love it when DONE!
I posted more about this back during the summer some time under CountryGuy's id. Search might pop it up, not sure, not sure any more detail there,  oldertimes makes me not know for sure.

Don used a razer knife. He bought a tool at Home Depot and used it some but he prefered the knife.

I would like husband to do this on our travel trailer (and then our Monty when we get one). He said he would see about purchasing the glass the clips at Ace Hardware and just having them cut the glass too. Is it real expensive to have them cut it? I was thinking husband could just make a template of the areas we want pieces of Plexiglas cut for. Would that work???

Al made a template from thin poster board.
Suggest using the lightest possible "glass" you can find, our experience was that the thicker stuff was heavy enough that it made the storm door scape along the bottom. That was something we wanted to avoid.

Like my earlier post I got the clips and will put the plexiglass on the inside.My question is what about the small section where the slider is.To me it doesn`t look like the slider will slide over the plexiglass when you want to close both doors at night before bed.Any siggestions or ideas???

Ours slides over, Harleyrider. But, again, we got the thinest stuff we could find. No problem. Good luck.

Ok i got the website for clips. I am going to do mine but i have a question. I was looking at the door and if you put the plexiglass on the inside would the glass be pushed out through the front and pushing the screen out are has anyone had this problem? This is something i could see happening.

Instead of making a template, we just took the screen in with us. The screen is easy to remove from the door. TAPS- a plastic store measured our screen and cut the plexiglass all within less then 20 min. I liked taking the screen in with us. The gentleman that measure was able to see exactly where we wanted to mount the plexiglass. He even matched our top corners, they are round. It's a perfect match. All this cost us just under $40.00 cutting and plexiglass. Before we did this Kevin bought our own plexiglass and tried to cut it with the special tool for plexiglass...he was not happy with the cut...there was a small break  .

Has not been a problem for us.
OntMont has had his blow INTO the trailer on a gusty day.
Partycrashers,
If we had someone out here who did that, it would be great, think we paid more for the "glass" than $40.00, sounds like you got a great deal!
