Adding Carrier A/C Unit to Montana
Sue and I were talking, we want to go to the desert, and being in the business, I hate to be hot, with the 104-106 degree days we have had around here, I was thinking we really need a big one, so I brought it home......
Think 10 Tons will be big enough?
I think I may have to go around some low underpasses when we stick her up there.

Why not just put a hitch on the back of the Monty and drag that baby behind ya. Wanna see the looks on the Campground Owners face when you pull in with that in tow.

I have an idea - playing off of Glenn's idea - drag that into CG on hot days and RENT out ducted A/C to 3-4 (more?) RV's, popups, even tenters, at one time.
Now if you could only get the CG mgr to let you plug in... What kind of gen do you need to run that thing, Ozz?

Well, they might have a panic attack if I pulled in and started hooking up.
She clocks in at around 55 amps of Three phase power. It would cool 8 or 9 units down if we could get power to it!

Carrier also makes refer units for big rig trucks. On the hottest days you could get the inside temp of the Monty below freezing. Also there is no power problem as it is run off a diesel engine. As for the noise...please do not camp next to me...lol.

And here I thought I was asking for alot by wanting the second AC in the bedroom. Ozz, I should have told hubby that he needs to by your type of second AC for the Montana.
I noticied in your signature that you just have one 2000 Honda. Will that run your OEM AC? When you install that second AC will you have to have two generators?

Bob,
I hope the neighbors don't think I'm installing on, or behind the Monte...They all drive by watching me work on it, and they know I'm a little Odd.
Colleen,
No, I had it from another application, I will probably carry it just to have some generator power if needed, in transit, we really don't know where we will end up, so it may or may not come in handy.
I have a 3,000 Watt inverter, that will suck the juice out of my Two Golf cart batteries in a short time, if I'm not careful.
