New Truck Coming!

Just made the deal today for my 07 3500 4x4. long box,ext cab,d/a, L-3,SRW,sun roof, chrome steps, silver birch, charcoal leather, camper mirrors, and they are throwing in Chevy mud flaps and window wind deflectors. Will be delivered in about 12 days. Got the $1500 + $1000 cash discount and the GMID# discount. I got the 3500 for the 9800# GVRW for my Montana 2880 because it has a pin weight of 2160#. The 2500HD long beb ext cab would have been about 260# over. I'm totally safe now. I had a 2005HD long bed ext cab 6.0L gas. Can't wait to make my first pull with the new truck.

Congrats big red! I towed for years with the 7.4 gas in my 2500, but went to diesel when they downsized all the gas engines. Always wondered how well they did.

Did you get the smoker or gas?

Congratulations on the new truck. I am here having Truck Envy!

Dick builds those trucks and I was surprised to see you are getting a 2007 3500 as the news at the plant is they aren't supposed to be in production until winter. Maybe they are making them in another plant?

It sounds like it will be a beauty and you're going to love the D/A, it's truly and amazing combo.

I have a friend who tows with a 6.0 gas motor and I have always wanted him to hook up my diesel truck to it and see the difference. You will be very happy with the D/A combo. That combo has rescued GM in the diesel wars. Years ago when I had a Chevy even the dealer recommended a gas motor to pull our fifth wheel.

Lots of Envy from here. Nothing like getting a new truck to do some serious pulling. Good luck and safe travels.
