manually leveling up

In order to use the manual level up process do you start leveling the front to rear jacks making sure the unit is level front to back and then do the side to side jacks to level it from side to side or please explain the process so I can recalibrate my auto leveling system.

Get it as level as possible side-to-side by adding blocks, or lumber, lego blocks under the tires. Always level this way first.... even when the auto level is set up. There's not much of a margin on the tilt and the system simply will not work.

After that, I don't think it makes any difference, as you'll be adjusting and tweeking each jack manually until you get all of them down and everything showing level both directions (side to side and front to back.)

But I always start side-to-side first. I guess that's just a carry over from my old travel-trailer days.

With the hydraulic system, I always use Auto Level. But if that isn't giving you the results you want then doing it manually is the way to go. I level front to rear first, just because. Then I adjust left/right until things are level to my satisfaction. I don't see where either way makes a difference as the end result is the same.

I thought 'manually leveling' was what I do - check the level on the side and back of rig and run up on my orange ramps!! Boy, am I outdated!

I gave up on my leveling lumber back in 2010 after having Level Up installed on our 2010 Montana 2955RL. Still carry some to put under the jack pads when needed.
Normally the only time I use manual mode is during overnite stops when we don't disconnect the rest of the time I let the system do it's thing.
