Another reason why I am so happy with our 2007 3400RL which has no frame problems. We live in Surrey, BC, and have travelled across Canada and up to Alaska (Fairbanks) and, in total, around 80,000 kms without any body/frame problems. The roads in eastern Canada can be very rough as they are to/from Alaska.

I truly believe the build quality of our 2007 is far superior than the build quality of trailers built today.

I agree they don't build them like they used to. Way too many issues with anything new.

I'm pretty happy with the overall quality of our 3791RD. There were a few niggly issues that are kind of expected when something is hand built. The frame flex issue does suck today, however tomorrow we will have a better product. Then on to the next issue

Update

Alright well, it has been a while. I decided to fix myself. I ran the slide-out multiple times and there was zero movements on the wall. I started doubting the frame was actually cracked Instead of removing the slide, I removed the inside seals and found out the "crack" I thought was there, was actually a scratch. I took a knife to it to verify, yep definitely a scratch. The weld was good. So, I drilled out the crack on the fiberglass, filled the crack with fiber mesh and I am about to fill the top portion with a gel coat repair kit. I will take pictures of the finished product.

I actually have a High Country. The stupid cable-actuated slide mechanism has pulleys located at the top and bottom of each side of the slide opening. Moving the slide in and out puts stress on the stud attachments until it breaks. And yes, I had this happen to mine.

Attached is a photo of how I determined the weld was not busted and a picture of the beginning of the fiberglass repair.
