Door Hinges

2018 MHC 330 rl. Has anyone changed the hinges on the outside door? Does not stay open in wind and extremely hard to open and close. Want to revert back to original design with normal hinges and hook for the door.

Some have used magnets similar to the baggage door. There are also holders that will latch the door open.

Lube the hinges with silicon spray and they will operate smoothly. I had to do mine about every 6 months while full-timing.

Due to the nature of how the friction hinge works, the door needs about a 3" offset from the wall of the camper when it's fully open. We tried magnets but they would not hold.
We went with one of these.

They also help keep the door handle from hitting the camper when opening the door to get the steps down.
