Flat spots are from the dark ages of old nylon bias tires. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Covering them from sunlight exposure would be a good thing. Some drive them up on boards, pretty much a useless endevor as well.

Millions upon millions of RVs across this country are parked for extended periods with the wheels on the ground. Not a problem.

If that was the case, all of the rigs on a dealers lot that have been sitting would be going down the road sounding like a Walmart shopping cart: Thump, thump, thump!!

If it's going to be on concrete, however, put some plastic placemats or other thin material between them and the concrete. Those black marks you see after a tire has been on concrete for a long time is the anti-aging chemicals leaching out.

Mine sits in storage several months at a time typically from Nov to April. Never a problem with flat spots in 7+ yrs. Even on the original Chinese Missions.
I agree it was a problem on the old bias ply nylons of years past.

Good advice, I put plywood under mine.

Like others have said, only thing you MIGHT worry about is taken care of by thin boards under the tires.

We sit for six months in Florida, no problem. I do run both sides up on plywood to keep the tires off the ground. New to the LCI levelers, but the dealer told me to keep them retracted during storage periods.

I have never understood this. the front ones have to stay extended unless you are going to block up the front of the rig which I am sure is not recommended simply because of the aesthetic appearance. If the front ones can be extended, then it stands to reason that the others would be okay as well. I am sure they have their reasons, but even when ours is in storage, it is up on the Level-ups for 4-5 months at a time. I do wipe the rams off after storing just to prevent the adverse affects that dust can have on the seals. Sorry, way off topic I guess!

I agree with Bingo. Those of us who full time and spend months at a time in one place leave them out all the time. What's the difference if your in it or not?
