Black Tank Treatment

Has anyone used the new "Unique Sensor Treatment"? Would like to know if it is all it claims to be. Thanks.

Probably just lightens your wallet some as you'll fine even if you get them to read something other than full it won't last long.
Remember they are just holding tanks so the contents generally don't stay long enough for much of any of those products to do much.
I just use a capful of Calgon Liquid Water softener and a cup or two of Dollar Store Pine Sol.

Don’t waste your money, you will get use to your time to dump pending your usage of all of your tanks based on the number of people in your RV.

I have not used the sensor cleaner but I have used the Unique Digest It. Great product. I put in one ounce per the bottle instructions and after about a week the tank was full. When I dumped, there were NO SOLIDS at all in the tank. Even TP was indistinguishable when watching through the clear connector. I have to say, I was skeptical, but it absolutely does a fantastic job. That made a believer out of me. I use it all the time now. I even purchased a macerator to use with my Rhino portable tank but it hardly as anything to do other than pump to the back of the truck. Here's a video from Todd at the National RV Training Academy explaining how it works.

I still have some Happy Camper powder left and I'll use that up when we have full hookups, but from now on, I'll use the Unique Digest It!

I don't use anything. When leaving the campsite, I'll dump and back flush or use the black tank flusher and flush out the black tank. Then add some water back to the black tank and head to the next destination. Sometimes, add a bit of Dawn down the toilet, but not lately. Hit the road and let the pulverizing of the water in the tank clean the sensors. Mine always work. Never a problem with mine. I don't depend on them, but they do work. And this is our 4th trailer.

Also, they have worked exceptionally well for the last year too. I installed a bidet. We don't use toilet paper at all any more. Not a speck of TP goes down the toilet. Sensors work just fine (when I use them). Listening to the sound of the water hitting the inside of the tank when flushing queue me in when its about time to dump. There is a very distinct sound difference as the contents of the tank near the top.

I too am a Unique fan. I bought Happy Camper last time but when it is gone I am going back to Unique. IMO Unique does a better job digesting everything, including TP, than Happy Camper (which isn't that bad).

Bidet

We have a bidet at home, a CleanSense and love it. Thought about putting one in the fiver but wasn’t sure how to connect water. I could run a Extention for the electrical but that wouldn’t be the best, rather another outlet near the commode would be better. Can you share your set up, where you get your water and electricity?

Also, they have worked exceptionally well for the last year too. I installed a bidet. We don't use toilet paper at all any more. Not a speck of TP goes down the toilet. Sensors work just fine (when I use them). Listening to the sound of the water hitting the inside of the tank when flushing queue me in when its about time to dump.

We haven't, but after we dump our black tanks, we dump 10 gals of water in each with about 1/4 cup of Dawn. And let that swoosh around until we get home and then dump them again....never has failed us about odor and cleaning the sensors......

Have used the Unique digest it and I’m a fan. Cleans 24/7 and my sensors work as well as they always have, but even then, they haven’t been very accurate.
