Does your Res. fridge not cool when towing in hot?

Mine tends to get up to about 55 degs when towing in temps above 90 deg.
The battery was 13.2 volts when I stopped.

Are you running on the inverter? Ours keeps temps very well when travelling. I've even had it making ice while travelling. I always make sure after disconnecting shore power that the inverter is on and running so the fridge can run on battery. There is a disconnect in the battery compartment on the wall above the battery box, and the inverter itself must be turned on as well. Mine has a green button on the face you have to hold in for a few seconds to turn on/off.

Same here, ours stays at temp when traveling.

Check your inverter to make sure that it's on. I'm assuming from your post that the inverter is on, though, since you're checking it, or making that's the temp that you're seeing after plugging into shore power...

Ours too. we just did 6 weeks in ours with many days 95+ and the refrigerator was never an issue, travelling or parked.

Inverter is on, it seems like when it gets hot inside the camper the battery can't run it. I have found the battery being low at times. It's getting 13.7 volts from the truck.

Hummm...

The one thing that I've found is an issue is that the fuse that supplies 12V to the trailer plug in my truck often blows, and it's a 30A fuse. But, if that doesn't blow, our voltage stays up, and it doesn't matter how hot it is outside, the fridge can keep up...

You note "battery" in your post. Are you saying you only have one, which is also probably a group 24 or 27 size? Is so, you may want to think about replacing it with new batteries more up to the task at hand.

I have a similar issue. But it is not the inverter itself, that stays on when I disconnect shore power BUT the GFI that the refrigerator plugs into blows and needs to be reset. Check that each time before leaving after disconnecting the shore power.

Would the gfi impact fridge regardless of power source? Sounds like it might be time to change gfi or find the issue.

Never blown the fuse on the truck, the GFCI has tripped a couple time but not the last few times.
I was suspecting the battery & had it load tested, showed OK FWIW.
Group 24 Interstate 3 years old, so it might be time.

I guess you have one battery and it has 13.2 volts after you stop and the refrigerator is 55 degrees. That says you have been on the road for awhile and to me your refrigerator wasn’t running. If it was unplugged this is what I would suspect would happen. Your refrigerator isn’t running while you are unhooked.

GFI is built right into the Inverter. 2021 Montana I have been going round and round with CW on repairing or replacing. I think the issue is the transfer switch.

If you read the manual on the refrigerator it states NOT to use a GFI circuit. I read a post on this site that he removed the GFI outlet on the inverter and solved his problem. I replaced my GFI on the inverter with a plan outlet and solved all my problems.

Today about an 1 1/2 hrs. into the trip I stopped & checked, fridge was 60 already. Fired up the generator I brought this time 2 hrs. we got to out spot fridge was at 36.
I think I'm going to grab a new battery & see what happens.
GFCI wasn't tripped.

Two different power sources ... the genny would be considered "shore power" by the fridge. I'd bet that you do not have 120vac while running on the inverter. Either the inverter is bad, the gfci on the inverter (this is where the fridge gets its 120vac) is tripped, or your transfer switch doesn't "fall back" to inverter when not on shore power.

When you stopped today what was the voltage in your camper battery when unhooked from your truck? Sounds to me your refrigerator isn’t running while you are on the battery. As others have stated you could have a problem with the refrigerator warming up to fast but that’s isn’t why it’s warming up while you are traveling.

If your fridge is warming up that much in 1 1/2 hours you have a seperate problem besides it not running. With the door closed and the contents already cold there is no way it should be warming up that much unless you have a major flaw in the box or seals.I would be checking door seals are something along that line. Cold is leaking out somewhere.

I was wondering about that too, cause we have the fridge & freezer pretty full.
