2021 Montana Wheels & Tires

Set of 4 factory 2021 Montana wheels with original Sailun tires. These tires have a total of 5000 miles on them and the manufacturing date is “2720” on all four which I believe means week 27 of the year 2020. So these tires are just shy of 2 years old. The wheels have the GM tire pressure sensors installed. $1000 for the set if you can pick them up just south of Charlotte, NC.

If we were close I would buy them.
We are in Nova Scotia Canada.
Interstates are good. Other roads not so much. Some are just bad!!
We had a Sailun blow out a couple of days ago.
TPMS was normal before the blow out. We heard it blow. Looked in the mirror and saw debris flying.
Tires are exactly 4 years old. Time to change them.
We ordered 4 new Sailuns, took a couple of days to come in.
I'll be changing them today.

I upgraded to the Boar wheels and tires before these had a chance to blow…

Wow!! Those are beautiful.
Did you upgrade the springs too?
I read Montana is now putting 8000lb axles and 4000lb springs on.
We also had a broken spring to go with the blown tire (right sid rear). I replaced the spring with a 3500lb (same) then heard about Montana upgrading. When we get home I may replace all of them.

Mike,

Have you tried to move up your appointment? Last July we got on their schedule for 11/4/22 and back in early April we checked in to see if they had any openings we could fill and they got in May 18th.

No, these are 225/70R19.5, Michelin, made in USA, G rated, 3970 lbs, 87 mph tires with matching wheels. Conversion includes tires, wheels and lug nuts (mine where 1/2” studs).

Check them out here:

https://www.boarwheel.com/cruiser-67...r-245-70r19-5/

Folks are getting 50k miles out of these with no problems!

The peace of mind is priceless, plus they do look good

Best, Mike

Mike,

Lower profile tires on bigger wheels - how did you net out on height change? I'm guessing only a very small increase in total diameter?

Sailuns are 235/80R16 which are 30.8” in diameter, Michelins are 225/70R19.5 which are 31.9”, so about an inch larger in diameter or 1/2” height increase. I am nose high when hitched so this helps a little.

Best, Mike
