Just venting
A month ago my truck went in for $2800 worth of repairs. Monte went in for routine maintenance, $300. Monte went back in for hose replacement $850. Left for Colorado and the trucks brake caliper froze up $1300 for complete front brake job. Fortunately we were in front of the dealer when it happened, go figure. Finally get on the road and the trailer lights are not working properly due to a malfunction on the truck side. We are 3 hrs from our final destination waiting for the bad weather to blow over. Arrive Chatfield tomorrow and call the dealer Monday. But we are here for our oldest grandson's high school graduation and take our youngest grandson for a week with grandma and grandpa. Life doesn't get any better.

Oh we had one of those years a few years back. We started feeling a black cloud was over us as soon as we hooked up. When it rains it pours. Sorry to hear all your troubles. Hang in there. It shall pass. Great attitude!

A positive attitude is always the best medicine for a negative situation. Sounds like you just need to reinforce the positive side as you obviously are and the negative side will be remedied!! Cool deal on the family reinforcing side!!

Be glad you had it to spend, you can't take it with you.
Enjoy your grand kids while they are young and will go with.
When they get older things change.

I learned a while back that if money solves the problem, it wasn't a problem. When the Doctor tells you it's cancer, that's a problem!

It's funny that our friends said the same thing about that black cloud. They were with us last year when our tire blew out resulted in 4 new tires immediately followed by being rear ended and Monte ending up in the RV emergency room for 2 months. As we are sitting here in Sterling, Co watching the weather reports telling everyone how bad the weather is in our area, it's not so bad as it seems to be all around us but not on us. Must be a good sign. Tomorrow the grandkids. Thanks to our MOC family for letting me vent.

I built some time last year in Sterling, CO. At least the parking was free at the Dodge dealer.

Dick, if you need anything if you are in Colorado this weekend on, pm me and let me know. We are within a couple hours of Sterling. Hope things go better. We've had to replace 2 tires and 2 batteries so far. We are at Zion today but will be at the house Thursday.

Found the problem with the truck/trailer lights. The power tail light converter went bad. This part was originally installed when we had a problem with the wiring harness and was done at our RV dealer. It has been replaced once more by the dealer and once by a friend. Thanks to Corner Hitch in Littleton, Co and Master Truck & Trailer in Wadsworth, Il for helping me trouble shoot via phone. I replaced the part this time and when we get back to Illinois will take it in to Master for a complete & correct repairing of the problem. Not knowing what the part did was the biggest problem for me. Once it was explained, in idiot terms, it made sense. $28 and 30 minutes of menial wiring made it all better. FYI, my grandson's HS graduation was at Red Rock and was beautiful.
