New Owner - new stupid question

Got our new MHC 353RL with residential fridge home. 12v batteries all charged up and opening it up to figure out what switch works what, etc. Seems the microwave and ceiling fan have no power under the rig's 12v system. I believe the 1000w inverter is supporting the fridge only, are the microwave and ceiling fan wired into the 120v ac and only work if plugged into shore power or generator (30 amp)?

Microwave and Ceiling Fans are both 120 VAC items and require Shore power to operate. Yes, most likely a Factory Installed Inverter only supplies power to the Res Fridge, plus a 1000 Watt Inverter wouldn't be enough to run a Microwave as they generally need between 1500 to 1800 watts.

Thanks mhs4771 for the confirmation. Looking forward to taking it out for a long weekend over Labor Day as our maiden voyage...

The other things that usually work on 12V are the water pump and the lights. An RV (not residential) fridge will work on propane, but it still needs 12V to switch on and off. I have also found the bathroom fan will work on 12V.

Have fun. Picked up my unit last Jan and still learning how to use it. We're going out next week for a week.

Welcome and congrats on the new rig. Add TV & Sound bars to the shore power devices. Usually the stereo works on 12V. Air Conditioning is AC for sure and a 50A connection is needed to run both. Enjoy the maiden voyage. Make sure to bring some basic tools on the first trip (all trips really) as you'll find some items that need tightened up after the first rolling earthquake down the highway.

In our 2017 353 RL the fridge and the sound bar are 12V...along with all the lights, water pump, slideouts and awning. I attached a manual for the inverter in my unit, yours is likely the same. They didn't include this manual with all the others when we purchased. Oh, and the only stupid question is the one you didn't ask...
