Leak from front A/C unit

I have a brand new 2016 HC 340BH, with a very small leak from the rear curb side of the A/C unit. I assume it's likely something to do with the seal or just needs a bit of caulk somewhere. Anyone had the same problem? I'll be taking it apart tomorrow and was hoping to have some idea what to look for.

Thanks

Mike

New units often need the air conditioner torqued down a bit. Just two or three turns. Tightening it down too tight will damage the seal. Mine did the same thing on our first trip.

Thanks for the response. I gave them each a turn when I first discovered the leak today. Seem to slow it down quite a bit. But was still slowly dripping. I could see the metal frame on the inside bending very slightly so I didn't was to tighten much more. Maybe the problem is already solved and it's just what was already leaked in coming out. I'll check if it's still leaking before I go to bed. Rained and snowed all day so it should be a good test for it.

Just went out and checked it's leaking above the seal from the trough that one of the 4 mounting screws goes through. I'll pull the cover of tomorrow and see if some kind of drain is plugged backing up water in that trough.

I've drilled a couple of extra drain holes on my A/C's ... just put something on top of your rubber roof membrane to catch the drill bit if it plunges thru. Step drills work pretty good on sheet metal. You might seal the heads of the mounting screws.

We also have added drain holes, particularly when one side of the ac is a bit higher than the other side
