Chairs

We have a 05. 3500rl the recliners are just to heavy to move any more without hurting my back. Has any body replaced these with something lighter. This design having to move and secure them every time was stupid.

Go check out La-Z-Boy Pinnacle recliners. Very comfortable, pretty light weight and we've never had to tie them down.

Replaced both recliners with the Lazy Boy Pinnacle and love them, much lighter than the oem leather recliners. Just tried to purchase a love seat in the same style and found they no longer make the wall away model and now only make the rocking model that needs to be 10 12" away from the wall. Hope Lazy Boy changes decision to stop making the standard chair.

We still have our original recliners. And yes they are heavy and awkward to move. But on advice here I put round plastic water heater drain pans under each recliner's round base and they move much easier.

Bought leather recliners made by flex steel for our 2005, moved to the 2010' fit both rigs well. Do not remember the model number, but also several companies out there specializing in rev furniture.

Just replaced ours with the Lazy Boy Love seat 74.5". So they still make them. We had to order them. Took 6 weeks to get them in. Really love them. Took out the leather and got the cloth.

We also bought LB Pinnacles for replacements and are very happy with our choice.

We just bought regular recliners years ago and love them. Have just about worn mine out so we'll be shopping again, but it will be another regular recliner. Whether you need wall huggers or not depends on your floor plan and anything you buy will be lighter and easier to move unless you get a massage chair

Only have 27-28 inches to work with between window and slide closing on the 05 models the original chair backs are 27 inches and barely miss the slides. Do the old chairs disassemble to come out the door.

The backs should lift off of the OEM chairs which allows the chair to be removed from the rig in two pieces.

We paid around $300 for the recliners we're using. More for mine, less for Joyce's. She's not as fat

An alternative is to pick up a couple plastic hot water heater pans that are the same size of the recliner base. I tried one, cut the edge down a bit and zip tied it to the bottom of the recliner we drag out to the middle and it made the chair slide much better. While doing this, I found there are feet on the bottom of the base metal rings. I took them off the other recliner and now it slides much easier as well.
