hydraulic levelers
has anyone or known of anyone that have lost hydraulic pressure on their levelers while camping if so what happened does the front hit the ground?

Only issue I have ever heard of is a slow leak. I would think worst case front end would drop to the minimum retraction of the legs. Same for the other four legs.

In the event of a castrophic failure, the nose will lower to the retracted position, but not suddenly.

This has always been a question in my mind (what happens if a line bursts or seal totally fails). Unless they are internal to each jack cylinder ... I don't see any safety valving to prevent the unit from collapsing nose down. On manlifts and scissor lifts that carry people, there is a safety valve that senses extreme flow and prevents the lift from collapsing clear down. One would think these would be on our front cylinder circuits as well.

being paranoid and cautious i went and bought 2 aluminum jack stand from harbor freight 3 ton each 34 dollar for both tried them out on the front, one on each side retracted all jack and held like a champ going to take me 5 more minutes to set up and put away but worth the trouble peace of mind and by the way very light

What if we took to remote controls off of a Mexican jumping bean car with hydraulics put them on our RV hydraulic leveler and then we would have a Mexican jumping bean RV set in our recliners and have fun all day long LOL Tom
