Thanks Les. We spend 5 months dry camping so I'd appreciate if you posted your read off the Trimetric when you check it out.

Well folks, quick update on the frig install. Today we traveled from DFW to Livingston, Texas (about 4 1/2 hours). We disconnected the rig from shore power with 35 amp hours used out of the 457 usable amps in the battery bank.
Now I have both the 7 cu ft freezer (sits inside next to the island while traveling) and the Samsung frig running on the inverter.

Most of the trip we were in cloudy, dreary weather. With the solar panels providing some charging for the 4 1/2 hours when we arrived in Livingston and before I hooked back to shore power I recorded that with the inverter on, the meter read 53 amp hours used to that point. So on a cloudy day, in 4 1/2 hours the two units drew a other 18 amp hours off the batteries. Not quite scientific but I reaffirmed my suspicions that the freezer and frig are a heck of lot more efficient than that boat anchor we called an RV frig.

Also, we don't have to run down the high way with the propane on, making Mac the Fire Guy Happy!

The real test comes in 2 weeks when we will be in Quartzsite for 4 months.
