LED Lights

Installed LED lights in all fixtures. All work well for about two weeks. Last night, the one over the desk (double fixture) stopped working. When I turned it on, only the small, end LED lit up. Replaced with different LED, same result. Replaced with old light bulbs. No light, almost like there was only enough electricity to power the one LED, but not the old bulb.

Any suggestions for testing/trouble-shooting?

Tks in advance.

Most DC problems are ground related. Check the ground wire on the fixture.

I'm with Bingo. Check the wiring.

I've got to ask where you got them from. I purchased half of what we've got from a reputable source (Michael & Kat, but they've quit the business) and they all are working fine after over a year. They weren't cheap, but were not expensive either. Got several more from eBay just to see how they were. After six months, several have LEDs that aren't lit, some flicker on the end caps, and one just won't work. Completely proved (AGAIN!) to me that you get what you pay for. Make certain you're purchasing them from someone not selling factory seconds at a huge discount.

As Bingo said you have a wire connection problem. There is a bad wiring problem for the Light. It could be in the socket. Since the normal incandescent lite does not work and the led just barely it is in the socket. The LED requires a lot less power to operate.
Good luck and safe travels.

Bought the LEDs from Camping World.

NEW INFO: Replacing the scare lights. In preparation, I removed the existing scare light fixtures and put wire nuts on the wires until new lights installed. Could this affect the LED light problem?

UPDATE: Last night, bedroom LEDs went extremely dim, just like my first post about the desk light. All LEDs lights with problems are on the street side of the RV. Only one scare light on street side. Is it possible that I caused this by disconnecting and capping the scare light wires?

I would really doubt it. But it could be loose wires in the converter box coming from 12vdc fuses or loose grounds. John

If you have a multi-meter, measure the voltage at the socket.
What model is your rig? How old/new?
Does anything change if you turn the scare lights off/on? (Long shot)
Any other 12v issues? Are bdroom and desk lights on same circuit?

Need to admit that I know little to nothing about electricity. That said, found out that one of the fuses I pulled was for the bedroom lights. Even though the fuse was pulled, the led still lit. Thought pulling the fuse would disconnect all power to that light. Apparently not? Replaced the fuse and the bedroom lights properly work.

Will measure power at the scare lights.

Tks to all for the suggestions.

The LED light also have different bases and it could be that you have put the wrong base bulb into the fixture. Some will fit in numerous fixtures but the base may have a single or dual base and some will twist into position. Didn't read all of the posts but I don't think that has been brought up.
