Porta-Bote

Levi, the dog, and I were finally able to get our Porta-Bote put together. Thanks to Carl n Susan for their ideas; however, I was unable to store the boat under the Monty.

The boat has a Mercury 4-stroke, 3.5HP motor and a 46# thrust MinnKota trolling motor. It is the 12' model boat with the seats and wheel accessories. Went with a portable Darby truck mount on the front and installed a Head Rack behind the rear window. Levi helped me pack it up.

Here are some pictures:

We have the same size porta boat. Had it underneath when we had a 2955 but it sat in the garage since we bought the 36REQ. Last month figured out how to put it under from the back and worked well. Only disadvantage was we had to remove it before putting down the back jacks.

Looks good. I had that motor on a 14' Jon boat and it did fine, on that rig you ought to be able to move right along.
