Baggage Doors

My tailgate fell off and cut the two baggage doors in front in half. Anyone know where I can get them other than a high priced dealer?
thanks

Check on-line for RV salvage yards. They may have what you need.

Good luck.

The tailgate fell off? Never ever heard of that happening.

You say two baggage doors? Are you talking about the front door behind the tailgate? You have two of them?

I would suggest you google something in Elkhart Indiana for replacement parts. Good Luck!

Hi

I damaged the one on the passenger side with our tailgate. I found it easy to remove and easy to disassemble. Keystone will not sell parts for the doors. So I made what I needed. Fortunately I didn’t damage the doorframe.

We had new doors installed by Fox RV in Middlebury, call them with your vin number, year of build and exact measurement of the door.

Shipping might be the buggar, if you cannot go have them do the install for you.

What about the tailgate? What are you gonna do about that? Do you know what caused it to fall off?

Hmmmm, based on Art's question, "we" could suggest a diamond accessorized, louvered, v-notched tailgate as a potential replacement and recommend doing some research on the forum for a previous thread from a few winters ago that endured for weeks, but "we" would probably not really want to do that to a new member!! For any new members who knoweth not what I speaketh of, I apologize in advance if you are adventuresome enough to research the old thread that I mentioned!

Carol actually has the most good ideas!

I'm continuing to learn; I really enjoy giving credible quality information to those less knowledgeable about the Montana towing experience...

I'm wondering if he meant the tailgate fell open. I saw an SOB pull out of his site with the tailgate down and when he turned it hit deadcenter in the forward compartment lift door, destroying it.

Guys, you are gonna get me in trouble ONCE again! Shhhh, no diamond studded tail gate stories, some just don't get the humor in a little winter cabin fever totally insane humor. I don't know why, we weren't hurting anybody, except our own sides from the side splitting laughter, but, still

SHHHHHHH!

Carol will now go shuffling off, ducking and hiding, and apologies to Everett Stone for hijacking his thread.
