Splendide Won't Drain or Spin

Does anyone know a trick to get the door open? It was in the wash cycle so there is water in the tub. I've tried everything.

Try pulling the power to that circuit/plug??? Like rebooting a computer??

Ours has done that. Sometimes a coin or something else comes out of a pocket and gets into the filter. On the front, bottom right, under the kick plate, is a round hole with a plug in it. It turns to pull out.This gets you into the filter where you can take out the object and it will then work properly. Be sure that you have a pan or something to collect the water that will flow from the filter when you loosen the plug or you will have a ton of water on your floor. The owners manual also describes how to do this. This has happened to us twice.
