Furnace won't light
Having problems -- had two days of heavy rain in south FL -- refrig won't ignite on gas -- now trying to use furnace -- fans comes on for about a minute then turns off. Furnace will not ignite -- could these problems be related -- is there a fuse or something that needs checked or replaced??
On road to north west florida with grandkids and it will be cold -- don't want to freeze my babies!!
thanks

Check your propane bottles, if they are on and are not empty, try switching the bottles, roadside to curbside. Open any closed bottle slowly.

Is there a separate fuse or fusable link to run all the ignitors? Is there a way to trace one of the wires leading to one of the ignitors?

The stove igniter is piezoelectric housed in the stove I think, no fuse. The connection can loosen though. I don't know about the heater igniter.

I don't beleive the fridge and the furnace are fused together. The two things that they have in common that comes to mind are propane and 12V power. May want to check your battery next. Also check the 12V cut off switch (a red "key" type switch in the convienance center on mine) did you turn it off for storage?

Good news == before we went to bed last night we tried the furnace one more time --- and the furnace fairy must have come and it lit == so we tried the fridge and it worked too
Maybe with the amount of rain we got something got damp and it just took drying out to make them work
thanks for your help

You gotta love those fairy's. They fix a lot of things. Have a great trip.

It could be a low output on the battery. I’m not sure what voltage the furnace takes to operate but if the battery isn’t putting out enough voltage it will cause it not to light. You might check the battery. If you haven’t ran things for a while it also could have been air in the lines.

The furnace operates on 10.5V - 13.5V of elec., not sure on the fridge. I have learned a lot about the operation of our furnaces these last few months because of the problems I have had with mine (long story) . Sounds like it may have had some air in the LP lines. Is the fridge working on gas now too?

Seems I recall the fridge will operate down to 9.6 volts. That is, if it is a Dometic.
