Water Pump Has Failed

Well it must be my time. As I attempted to winterize, the pump would not draw the "pink stuff" via the winterize inlet. So I disconnected the hose from the fitting and placed it directly into the bottle. It still would not draw the water. So I put the original pump in place of the Shurflo 5.7 and sure enough, it was able to draw and pump throughout the water lines. So it appears a new pump is in order.

So my question, Shurflo, Flojet, Aquajet. or Delavan?

Any recommendations? Looking for quiet with flow. The Delavan indicates the most flow, how about quiet? Aquajet hints at being quieter than Shurflo (original pumps?)

Thanks

bw2

Or ....... you could simply put a kit in the Sureflo 5.7 ... easy to do and alot cheaper. That is assuming the electric motor does run.

I had a few problems with mine with a air leak in the suction. Found I had a screw on the pump head that was not as tight as the rest of them. I tightened the screw and it cured my problems. I did notice my pump was noisy and also was in a little bind when hooked to the tubing to tank and discharge piping. So I removed the screws and put a piece of foam under the pump. I did not put the screws in but left it float free on the foam. Now I can barely hear it.

I have been looking at pumps for a while now and I think I am going to go with the Sure-flow that has a sensor to adjust for the demand flow I think it is a impeller type pump and that might be quieter.
