water heater sounds

Have been plugged into power and have been using electricity to heat the water tank.
Now every time I turn on the hot water it gives higher pitched whirrrr sound. It didn't used to do this, not sure if something is plugging up or what. Drained it today to check the anode rod and refilled it, still the same. Anyone else notice this? If it isn't one thing it's another.

Did get my oven latched cemented 2 times now and my last bowl of oatmeal is still sitting in it, broke again, Guess the JB Weld isn't as tough as it should be. Waiting for the new improved latch to arrive. $5.00 + $1.30 postage and hopefully the 3rd time taking it out will be the charm.

When ours did this we had to have a new electric heating element installed. Did it, the "whirr" sound for a couple of weeks and then went out completely. The replacement part was hard to get to and needs a special wrench, so RC didn't want to do it. We took it to a local dealer and had it done.
