Crack in siding by bedroom slide out

My monty has a crack in the siding at the front corner of the bedroom slide out. I met a guy in Texas last month who had the same problem. Has anyone else experienced this condition?

Bob,
Welcome to the forum. Is this crack at the top or bottom of the bedroom slide? What year is your Montana?

Bob,

Do a search on frame cracks. Some coaches have had this problem. Keystone has done repairs on some even out of warranty.

Call Keystone Customer Service (574) 535-2100 with your VIN#. They can tell you if your trailer has ever had the frame reforced for frame flex.

Bob,

Take a look at these pictures, this is what it took to fix the broken weilds under the belly.

Crack in bedroom

The link was causing a scroll for some folks. Please use the shortened version for links in the future.

Thank You,

RVWheels, MOC Admin.

The crack was on the right hand top of the bedroom pullout,on the coach about 6" long. looking at the front of the coach, all the welds on the left side of the overhang were broke, and rusted. The angle iron they use is lite duty, and the welds were to short. Also they installed a wood support along the top of the pull out. If you want the before pictures. Email me at kelly-gw@comcast.net, or call me 916-965-7937 and I will send them to you.
My Monty is a 2005 3400RL, this was just repaired Oct 2007. My dealer fixed the whole thing for $0, this was
on keystone. Call me for details if you wish. But trust me when I tell you, you have to get this fixed ASAP, the whole front end depends on those supports. Look at the iron they used to fix it, that's what I call doing the job right... good luck
