New Flooring in 2012 Montana 3455/SA

Has anybody put new flooring instead of the Carpet in your Montana?Pro vs Cons. What is under the carpet? Who you be the best to do the work(Lowes-Home Depot, etc)? Local floor company? RV Service store?

I have not removed any of our carpet but from what I have read you should find vinyl flooring like the rest of your vinyl flooring in your Monty and also LOTS OF STAPLES that are put in to hold carpet in place. The staples will all have to be removed and I would use any of those you asked about EXCEPT RV Service Store.

Pull up the carpet, clean the flooring (remove staples etc.) and then apply what you want to put down. In our case we used a commercial grade of floor tiles and since we bought it thru a flooring dealer they put it down for us.

Not meaning to hijack this but Im just wondering if anyone has replace the flooring in the kitchen area with the click type laminate flooring? If so will the height be an issue with the slides when they are pulled in?
The flooring in the new Montanas look a lot better than the linoleum that came stock in our 3750FL.

We had a 2005 2955 that we successfully used the lamanite and worked perfect. The sides lifrted over it with no issues, that being said our Montana 2009 has the refrig in the kitchen slide and it does not lift so the laminite is to thick and it would not work. Bummer!
