ridin smooth now!

Well after 25K+ tow miles and almost 9 yrs. we replaced all 4 springs and installed dexter wet bolt kit, she rides like new again. All replaced parts were worn, go figure. Had it done in St. George, Ut. at a place called Lug-Nutz, great owner and done in 2 hrs. back in Moab now and lovin it!

Did you consider adding shocks? The reason I'm asking is that I've pretty much decided to add shocks to ours. I think it would help with the spring oscillations that occur after hitting dips and bumps as well as extending the life of the trailer suspension.

Just food for thought as to adding shocks to any fiver or TT from a guy that has spun a bunch of wrenches in life. If you are thinking about adding shocks to you trailer using most existing shock mounts (if they are there) you may be just giving yourself a placebo. If a shock is installed at say 35 degrees or less, there just isn't enough suspension movement available to allow the shock to do anything. Our trailer suspensions don't move as much as say your truck's. If you really want to put something on that works ... look into this setup or fab something similar of your own. I have no monetary connection to this outfit, nor do I have their setup on my fiver.

x2 Kansas, I totally agree. I've been poking around doing a bit of research and surprisingly there are a number of kits out there for RV's. Joy Rider is a top rated product and my pick so far. There are also shock kits available from Dexter and Lippert, seems everybody is getting in on the action. They tell you a lot about the brackets and the shock angles, but they don't talk much about the the shocks or who makes them. Some of the big shock companies make RV shocks, like Monroe, but they don't offer a bracket kit that would work properly.
