docking station

This involves a Montana 3402RL 2013 model

Does anyone know what the red and blue lines (w/valve) are for in the docking station. These lines just empty to the ground. Nothing in the generic manual about this.

They are drains for the Hot (Red) Water and Cold (Blue) Water lines.

Ok, we are new to this and I just want to clarify your statement. If they are the drains for hot and cold, then they should be open when draining the system for winterizing. Just a note, we live in the Central Coast of CA, and do not require anti-freeze for winterizing, just full drain of the lines and opening these would be the best thing to do.

thank you for your response

Yes, they are in theory low point drains, however some have found the need to use air in addition to just opening the drains. You have to watch them build the units at the factory, but the thought that no one's unit has a loop in a line or a wood block left on the floor that creates a low spot is strictly wishful thinking.

Like Dick said ... in theory they are low point drains ... in actuality they will not completely drain either the hot or cold lines completely. They just kinda sorta get you started in the direction that the "pink stuff" or blowing out the lines with compressed air finishes.
