Toilet Replacement

I just replaced my toilet with a house toilet. I had problems with leaks, was told it needed a flush repair kit, installed the flush repair kit and still had leaks. After getting water all over my bathroom I threw my hands in the air.

I went to Lowe's and found a toilet I liked but learned that 12 inches is the standard from the wall to the center of the flange so I had to return to my trailer to measure. Mine was 12 1/2 inches and all I needed was 12 inches. I went back and got the toilet, came home and put it together and installed it. I got the model that only uses .8 of a gallon of water to flush. It is also what they call a stealth flush, which means water pressure is stored inside a bladder in the tank so when you flush it you get that extra boost to flush quickly. I also got the elongated version which is easier on men.

I have never been so pleased with something so basic in my life. I paid $149. for the toilet (which came with a wax ring) and also bought a cutoff valve that would work with the trailer plumbing and a 12 inch braided hose to connect the toilet to the cutoff valve. Spent about $161.00 total and I am again a happy camper.

That is an excellent yet simple upgrade. Not the fan of most RV toilets and .8gpf is acceptable for dry camping. First guess is I'll never be able to fit one in my tiny little bathroom. Then again I won't know till I measure.

Don't think I have ever heard of such a switch. You should make a YouTube video, suspect it would generate a lot of interest.
