Upgrade OEM Landing gear
Has anyone replaced the entire OEM landing gear assembly on their Montana? If so who, what and where? Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks

I'm just curious ... with your lighter Montana ... what prompts you to ask about landing gear replacement?

Almost 10 years old now and I have heard of dual motor systems. Anything you can add?

Others that have hands on experience with dual motors will be along. All I can offer is removing each leg assembly is pretty easy. Hook up to your truck, raise gear all the way up. Remove the keeper bolt in the driveshaft ... remove the 2 carriage bolts holding the leg to your frame ... pull away from the frame and let it down and out the bottom of the tank storage area. The legs simply rest on a couple of detents on your framework ... the carriage bolts are there to hold them in the brackets. Unless you've had bad luck with your OE gear, I think dual motors may be a bit overkill on your unit. Pop in rebuild kits or (depending on price) just replace the legs for peace of mind as needed. Well greased assys will last a long time for most.

Bob, there's another thread under this same section concerning the front landing gear change-over. Check it out, I think you'll find some really good info in it. If not email or PM Mike on his ideas and suggestions!

I think this is the discussion Rondo is speaking of.
