Entry Step Light

Do all Monty's have the entry step light wired with the spot light? Seems like that is kinda odd. Why wouldn't they wire the step light to the porch light. Any ideas on how to rewire?

As far as I know they are always set up that way. I always wanted to change it, but since I changed the porch light to a motion detector light it hasn't been a priority anymore.

bennettommyd, I completed this very mod a few weeks ago. I removed the step light wiring from the DS security light switch,(white with yellow stripe) and installed to a new lighted switch. I powered the switch by running a jumper wire from a 12v hot wire behind the master switch panel. Also jumped off of a cluster of ground wires to the switch. This was necessary for the light in the switch to work. Now I can switch on the step light by itself and I am reminded that it is on by the lighted red switch. Tim

This light needs to be wired to the switch on the screen door so when you open the screen door, your inside lights come on as well as the step light. But, I neither have the knowledge nor talent to accomplish this modification. Our old SOB MH had this feature.
