Replacement check valve for Black Tank
I seem to remember that one of the MOC members mentioned that they replaced the plastic valve that comes on the unit with a brass one and I am trying to find a source for that better quality valve. Does anyone have any information on this ? Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for your reply. I thought my dealer would stock something better also and the service manager said all they had was the standard Montana one that was installed. Seems odd to me when they know that it is a problem. I was looking for any information that I coudl find to go buy ine such as the size, etc. I will call Montana and ask if they can help. There is a guy up there that has been a real help since before we bought our unit. Thanks again !

You might try Home Depot / Lowes.

I seem to live in both. I will take the shower fixture off and see if I can take some measurements of the unit so I have a genereal idea of what to buy. Thanks

This is the name and number of the fellow that sells the original valves. He's in Texas and will ship out the valve to you next day for $25 including shipping. It is the exact same valve Montans uses. He sends the valve, and then you send a check. I installed mine today since the original was broken.

Wow, he is almost a neighbor. With that area code he is in the Austin area and i live north of Dallas. Thanks for the information. I was hoping to get a more robust valve after talking to my dealer and his comment about how the part so sensitive to freezing and breaking with just a small amount of water in it. I will call this guy and se what he may suggest.
