Rain Leak behind Microwave

We have a 2010 3150. Noticed rain leak behind the microwave, scant amount of water on the counter below microwave, drips coming from behind the microwave. Has anyone else had this issue and if so what was the cause.

Thanks
Don and Judy

What about your refer vent? It could be leaking around the base or even blowing in somehow. I did'nt look at the plan so not sure if thats the way its layed out.

Edit. Went back and looked at your floor plan. Not the refer vent. You do have alot of things there .. door header, awning, vent for the range hood. it can weep in and travel also. Good luck

I'd look at the range hood vent first.

There have been previous forum reports of the outside range vent not being properly sealed when installed. A forum search may reveal the fix, all I can remember is the range hood having to be removed to determine what the problem was. If it is leaking at the top of the vent assembly, some simple caulking should stop the problem.

That range hood vent is worth checking out. There is not much in that area other than the vent. Also take a look at the roof edge at the drip rail.

I also had the leak, it was at the range vent. Re-caulk around it and also pull out the screws a turn or 2 and put some caulk around the threads before re-seating them.

Thanks for the quick response. Re-caulked the vent. Will see if that stops the leak.

I agree with Dick. I have the same model & year and the exterior caulking would be the 1st place I'd look since there is no water source in that area. Is it possible that it was windy with rain and you had the vent flapper unsecured?

Isn't it amazing how much water you can get thru some teeny tiny little crack but just try to get ketchup out of a bottle??????

Isn't that the truth. Sometimes things only work well when you don't want them too.

We have a 2009, 2980. Had the same problem. In chcking with customer service (Darrel) at the factory, we found out that in the production of the trailer they forgot to put in the connector between the vent and the microwae. The fit between the microwave and the vent was was ok except when we got rain from that side. They fixed it and it has not leaked since. Have a Good Day
