King Mattress Dimensions

Does anyone know the actual dimensions of the King mattress in a 2005 3400RL. Mine is in storage but I would like to locate a replacement mattress. Any suggestions.

If you are not in a hurry we will have our King available in the fall when we are ready to hit the road fulltiming. Our Big Sky came with a King which we were are replacing with a Queen.....you're welcome to it if you can wait til then.

On my 2010 2955 the King measures 72 wide by 80 long, with 12" radiused corners at the foot of the bed to make for easier access around the bed and to allow clearance when the slide comes in.

I notice that Bahlin said that they were changing from king to queen and I was wondering if they had any problems doing that. I would like to do the same because I have an almost new queen and the king that came with the rig is very cheap. I think it will be OK if I cut each side of the bed platform. Also I think it would make it much easier to have more room to make the bed. I am not sure what to do about the bed spread because it will be too wide.

On the bedspread, our Monty's fitted Kingsize bedspread has parallel seams on either side. If yours is the same way and you are sewing proficient, could you unstitch the seams, cut out the extra fabric and restitch it back together? This could be an inexpensive option for the bedspread especially if it already matches the decor.

I just put a new mattress in my unit. The dimensions are 75' X 80'. This is 2" longer than the OEM mattress. It is not a problem since it is a memory foam mattress and will compress that extra 2" upon closing. The corners at the foot do have a 12" radius. The manufacturer custom cut the corners. They shipped it to us UPS. You can check my earlier post for more detail if you wish.

I found a post back in Oct 09 about changing from King To Queen and there seems to be no problem. I think if we want to modify the bedspread to fit better I will let my wife do the sewing.
