Lubing the Sliders

What would be the correct Lube & Application process for the Slider Mechanisms? Just returned from our 4th of July outing and noticed they looked as if they needed some TLC. Thanks

P.S. Also changed out all those "Rusting" lug nuts with McGard's, what a difference. A little pricey but well worth the investment and comments.
