58 sterillite containers and there half mates. Montana's basemants seem to accept that combination. We're in our 3rd Montana in 13 yrs fulltimer.

You can buy all the parts on Amazon and build it your self for a lot less.

Nope. My golf clubs go in the closet that was designated for washer/dryer. They shall not be relegated to the basement! (LOL)

1st, we had a slide out tray installed in our 305RL, it's great because it slides out either storage door and makes retrieving things even in the center easy. 2nd We have bins with different colors for different items. For example, our black tank hoses and attachments are in a black bin with a red top. Our White hose, water filters and gloves are in a Gray bin with a white lid, while our Electric cords, and accessories are in white bin. A green bin with a tight snap down lid holds our trash until we find a dumpster. The color coding makes it easy to locate the items without opening the bins up. We are going to have 8 hooks installed on the interior wall, so we can hang up our ladder, walking sticks, fishing pole, broom/ rake, extension cord, etc. 3rd In between the bins and wall we store our large folding table, camping chairs, patio rug. Any heavy items like the portable Honda generator, toolbox, mini air compressor we put in the toolbox in the bed of our truck. We always put everything back in the same order and position so we can find things easier. Hope this helps!

I'm thinking the way for us is pack outside/inside plumbing, electrical, etc.

I'd like to get others ideas as that is usually the best way to learn. Thanks
I like organizing our basement and keeping it neat and tidy (LOL this is a major challenge!!) I installed a metal shelf unit with open slats. I use sterlite containers and have them labeled for plumbing, drain hoses. I use hefty velcro wraps and hooks to wrap around hoses and then I clip them on to the metal shelves (this saves floor space). All our patio carpets, sunscreens, etc. stack neatly on the metal shelves (again saving floor space). I've tried to think vertical storage as opposed to horizontal floor space. Hope this gives you some ideas.

We'd love to see some pics of your shelving and how you have it installed. Thanks!

How about those of us in the 3820FL that have a smaller basement? Ideas?

When I flew a Cessna 180 I operated on the principle that if all three doors closed it would fly. It always did.
I operate on that very same principle with my Monty's basement and other storage areas. So far it works.

Every spring the basement is put on a diet. By the time we decide it's time for our extended Aug-Sept trip, it again needs to shed 'stuff' again.

That RV basement is a true definer of “Nature abhors a vacuum.” An RV basement is the same thing. If it's not full of 'something', it should be

As with everyone else, we always make it work for us!
My golf clubs ride right next to me on the bed, (opps, wait, I meant under the bed) DW would not like that...

I got hangers at HD to hang shovels in your tool shed and put a couple on the wall of the generator compartment up front and hang my power cables and hoses on them. It's above the battery so waisted space there anyway.
I use shallow tubs in the basement stacked for the waist water stuff and fresh water stuff seperately. All the rest keeps changing with every trip. I hope to someday get it straight so I can find things quicker. I did just buy a Craftsman portable ac/dc/bat compressor that I'm hoping is good enough to replace the heavier pancake ac compressor in the front compartment. My efforts these days are all geared toward lightening the load.

I have just been using plastic tubs, can't really do anything with the wall by the convenience center because that wall gets removed to do service on the pump. I had most of the hose connections not tight after we got it and have been tightening and replacing Keystones handy work plumbing with good fittings.

One more consideration. I weighed our trailer axels left and right separately. When the trailer was relatively new, The drivers side was 750 pounds heavier than the passenger side. Now that we have had our 3120 for a little over a year, I again weighed the sides separately and found that the galley, pantry and reefer had increased another 100 pounds to 850 pounds heavier than the passenger side. So in context to this discussion, I try to load the basement with the heaviest stuff on the passenger side.

Lowes and I think Wal Mart now sell some heavier plastic Black and yellow storage containers that nest stack. They were perfect size for our front slide thru. The wide but not tall middle storage gets our stuff that will fold flat like loungers and tables. The rear wing storage on either side of the unique HC381TH turns out to be perfect for those fold up to round lawn chairs and on other side is my middle tool chest that fits darn near perfect! And bragging on the HC381TH some more, when you don't have a toy in the garage, you have a 10' deep 54" wide and 5' tall storage area. Now you can really store some stuff in there!!! Being unexpected full timers we were really glad we had that bonus space!!

To top it off a lot of folks with the HC381TH are converting the front storage area that is factory prepped for a generator into a storage area. There is a LOT of room in that compartment if you take out the tin heat shield. Why Keystone hasn't figured out that not everyone wants a generator is beyond me.......

I believe I read, earlier in this thread, that you have a 3761FL (Same as us). Where did you mount the cord reel? Which compartment? Difficult to tell in this pic. Does it fit in one of the small rear side compartments? Or is it in the large rear storage?

Rear storage compartment. I have the cord reel on the street side and another door side for the long water hose.
