We’ll be with you in spirit. I retire in January and this would be perfect, but a friend of ours invited us to go to Quartzite that week to go off-roading, so we’ll be there in our toy hauler (not the Montana).

My friends at work keep asking what we’re going to do when we retire. They have no idea. We can’t wait to hit the road.

Looking like my wife and i will be able to attend, but it will be our first trip to the area with the RV. Recently retired and driving down to start our trip at the Quartzsite show and moving around AZ and NV afterward.

I do not feel comfortable registering for the Montana Rally only because of the uncertainty of what we are getting into on the trip as a whole and our plans could change.

Question... If we make it :-) would it be OK to park somewhere close, outside of the circle to be close to other Montana owners and learn some things about travel in the SW and meeting some of you folks?

Thanks...

Yes, the desert is wide open, plenty of room. You can register, park in the circle and come/go as you please; several will do this. Nothing formal.

Mark, don’t overthink it. Plenty of room in the circle. Just sign up. It is VERY informal. Your rear window will face the campfire. If you’re late, no problem. They get a million campers annually (literally), so one more or less in the desert isn’t a big deal. Best of luck and look forward to meeting you.

As said before, this is an informal event. Come (if you can) and go as you please. There is always space in the Circle. It is by far the best place to park to meet neighbors and get immersed in the social activities. There is also space outside that is as close as you want to be (or not).

Most importantly, please *REGISTER* so that we have a name badge for you. That makes it easier for us older folk to remember your name .

Thank you for the kind replies. If we get there we will for sure seek the group out.

I will register and given the informality of the event, if something comes up I will let you know. I have noted the coordinates and will find the group!
