Exterior polish/wax

What is everyone using to keep their Montana exterior protected and looking good?
Looking for good protection and shine.

Thanks
Jack

It's called buying a new one... I have tried but always get swirl marks... i wish we had a choice of GelCoat or Painted Aluminum..... Id go with the Aluminum.. Gelcoat looks great for a time... but then goes down hill... you can also store covered or indoors...

Protect All is great stuff, easy on, and off before it drys. I use it on all lights, fake chrome (looks like chrome), real chrome and plastic.

You know what else works on plastic, chrome, wheels, aluminum skirting and fender skirts? Pig Spit! Use it on my Harley's.

I use Wash & Wax All by Aero Cosmetics and once a year Maguires ceramic wax. Still shines like new!

Greg, how did you keep the decals so good over 18 years? Did you put some of this stuff on the decals also?

I just bought the PoliGlo kit with two extra bottles of the final gloss product. I'm going to give that a shot in a couple weeks. Sitting outside 24/7 takes a beating on these things.

These are not the original graphics. The original ones finally gave up the ghost after 12 years. These are 2012 graphics, put on in 2018. Had the old one stripped off, then had the RV washed and buffed out. Then, my graphics guy put the newer graphics on. The guy that washes my RV, uses the boat bling after the wash on the whole rig. When you ran your finger over it after it's done, feels smooth as glass.

Yes, he does. He also uses it on the windows. No water spots at all. I think part of the of the secret is, he uses deionized water, which he brings in a large tank on a trailer.

I have done quite a few projects with Chemical Guys WAC22916 HydroSlick Intense Gloss Sio2 Ceramic Coating Hyperwax,
Use a good RV cleaner without wax to clean it. Make sure the rig is spotless. If you put the coating on over smudges or spots they will be there forever. HydroSlick is one of the easier ceramic coatings to apply. Follow the directions (YouTube) I'm in gulfshores if you want to bring it by I'll be happy to do it (LOL) You will also need to bring $$$$.

The exact reason I won't do a Ceramic.

So here’s an out of the box idea that worked for me for over 6 years of high gloss…Zep Wet Look floor polish. Wash the rv as best you can (Zep floor stripper DILUTED works great) then apply the Wet Look with a small rag and making sure you do not have any drips. It’s like coating the RV with shiny plastic. A few lessons learned: do it on an overcast day, as it dries quickly, which can mess up the finish. And, after 6 years, it does yellow a bit and needs to be redone. But, 6 years between waxing? Yes please!

Caveat: do your research to see if others experienced what I did.

Greg, does your man travel to Idaho? How much does he use to do the whole RV?

I don't think he would travel to Idaho, it would cost you to much.

He just uses as directed on the products.
