Oven pilot light.

Do you leave your oven pilot light lit while parked or do you shut it off. Please only respond with ON all the time when parked or OFF when oven is not in use. Thanks

I leave it off until I am ready to use the oven. It is not fun getting down on my knees to do this each time, but I don't want the heat created by it. I store my cast iron frypan in the oven, so I don't want it to be hot either.

When we had a Pilot light, we would only turn it on just before use.

Off until use. We almost always use the convection oven anyway.

LOL Once DW baked a pie in it, she is planning on replacing S&B with a M/C oven

There is nothing wrong with that as these stoves use very very little gas with just the pilot on and it beats getting on your hands and knees to lite the pilot.
